Maple Run: A Quiet, Affordable and Accessible Austin Enclave
Surrounded by Austin’s greenest parks and nature preserves, Maple Run offers comfortable, tranquil suburban living with the convenience of a quick 15-minute drive to downtown Austin.
Development in Maple Run began in 1979 and continued through 2006. While many homes date back to the mid-1980s, most have been updated or renovated with modern design features and amenities. All affordably priced, homes in this area range from 1,000 to 3,562 square feet in size.
Maple Run is close to everything downtown and South Austin have to offer, but it’s also conveniently located to a variety of both high-end and routine shopping opportunities just around the corner. Both the Shops at Arbor Trails and Escarpment Village, two popular shopping centers with a combined total of more than 55 stores and restaurants, are within 5 minutes of the neighborhood. In addition, four major shopping malls, Barton Creek Square Mall, Sunset Valley Market Fair, the Village at Westlake and Southpark Meadows can be reached within about 15 minutes. Together, these popular retail centers include more than 450 stores and restaurants.
“There’s a lot of seclusion, and there’s not a lot of traffic,” says Pamela Rogers. “So, it stood out for me because of the proximity to downtown and the parks,” says Anne Kenna. “But it also stood out for me because it is very close to great shopping, and you don’t have to drive 30 minutes to do your daily shopping.”
